The BEST Thing To Give

I want to encourage you, if you have Jesus, you have the BEST thing to give! 

I love the story in Acts 3 where there's a man in need of money because he's poor. Naturally, if we don't have money, we tend to walk away or ignore the person or even tell the person " I'm sorry I don't have anything".

Truthfully we may not have money, but if we have Jesus, then we have more than money.

Sadly, how many of us have looked at people in need of food, money, or clothes and because we don't have those specific items, we leave that person empty handed with our apologies.?

This is so convicting to me as I read this story in Acts. Peter didn't have the money but He had Jesus. He explained to the beggar that he didn't have silver or gold but that he did have Jesus and Jesus was all Peter had. 

The world would tell us, " you're not helping someone who needs money by giving them Jesus. They need money". Jesus would tell us, " I am the bread of Life" . Jesus would also tell us " The Father knows what needs we have". Jesus would also say " Feed my sheep". 

Jesus would charge us to give the needy, Him! 

We may not have money or the riches of this world, but if we have Jesus, then we have a priceless gift to share with others

Money can't give eternity but Jesus can.

Why do we walk away from a person in physical need because we can't help them physically.  I believe Jesus is the answer to our every physical and spiritual need!  If we have Jesus, we have everything we need and everything we need to give! Why do we withhold Jesus from a person in physical need? 

The world may make us feel useless when we can't meet someone's physical need but Jesus sees us as someone in possession of eternal value, if we have Him. Share THAT value! 

May Jesus help us not walk past people who are in physical need as if we can't help them! May He help us to help them by sharing Jesus! 

When we share Jesus, we give people an opportunity to come to Jesus and be gifted with His Rest that He gives!
