To be MADE like Jesus

To "just be like Jesus" gives the idea that it's up to us to be like Him. It relies on us to do what we can do to be like Him.

But to me MADE like Jesus gives the idea that someone has to shape you into who Jesus is.

That Maker is The Holy Spirit who lives in us.

It's on the Holy Spirit to MAKE us like Jesus. (II Corinthians 3:18)
and not on us to just be like Jesus.

To try to be like Jesus will end up in failure because it's a product of our own works to be like someone we can't.

To be made like Jesus is to completely give up on our striving and to completely let the Holy Spirit do the breaking, the bending, the shaping, the changing and whatever it takes to MAKE us like Jesus.

This starts with us taking our hands OFF and letting the Holy Spirit put His hands on.

May we stop trying to BE LIKE Jesus and start letting the Holy Spirit MAKE US LIKE JESUS.

We are a people that don't like to give up, we like to fight. If we fail in our "trying", we just Try to Try again.
We have to say goodbye to ourselves so that the Holy Spirit can be fully alive in us.

There's only One person who can Be Like Jesus and that's the Holy Spirit Himself, because he IS the Spirit of Jesus!

Let him MAKE you like Jesus.

When the Holy Spirit starts to MAKE us like Jesus:

He can give you the Rest from Jesus
He can give you the Mind of Jesus
He can give you the Wisdom of Jesus
He can give you the love of Jesus

..and more!

Oh, what a rest it is to know that "being like Jesus" is not on us to do, because we can't. We can trust that the Holy Spirit can do it in us and for us, if we would just surrender to His work alone.
